Fixed Blade Knives

Hand-forged fixed blade knives for hunting, camp and everyday outdoor work.

A fixed blade knife has no hinge or lock, so the blade and tang run as one solid piece. That makes it stronger than a folder for carving, skinning and heavy camp tasks, and easier to clean after field use.

Our fixed blade collection brings together Bowie knives, skinners, hunters and camp knives from independent makers, in Damascus and high-carbon steel with handles in stag, bone, horn, wood and resin. Many ship with a fitted leather sheath.

Fixed Blade Knife FAQ

Why choose a fixed blade over a folding knife?

With no moving parts, a fixed blade is stronger, simpler to maintain and better suited to hard use. A folder is easier to carry every day.

What is a full tang?

On a full-tang knife the steel runs the entire length of the handle, with the handle scales pinned on either side. It is the strongest common construction for a fixed blade.

How should I store a fixed blade knife?

Keep it clean and dry, and store it outside its leather sheath long-term, since leather holds moisture that can rust carbon and Damascus steel.
